Will CERN make a black hole?

Black Holes are formed when stars explode. The dust of the star then collapses inside of it self. So to answer... It is possible, IF a star explodes Some scientists are trying to form their own small, mini black holes using particle accelerators. Many people fear of these black holes becoming independent of the source of energy and constantly expanding, but scientists assure us they are controlled.

Why are black holes hard to locate?

Mainly because you can't SEE THEM !If they exist, they can only be detected by their gravitational effects on other nearby objects, or by theradiation from matter falling into them. In either case, their properties, as well as their very existence, can only be inferred indirectly, and can never be directly observed. If they exist.

What are the uses of black holes?

Since most, if not all, galaxies are believed to have a central supermassive black hole, it could be said that black holes provide the gravitational underpinnings for the large scale structures of matter in the universe. Because they power quasars, the brightest and most distant objects known, they also give information to understand the scale and age of the visible universe. They continue to be of great scientific interest for several other reasons, one of which is that they illustrate the incompleteness of our physical models - since we don't have a system which adequately describes conditions and laws at the black hole singularity, where our current laws of physics appear to break down.

I dont believe that space or Black holes are vacuums what theory or theories can I use to back this?

Technically, space is not a complete vacuum. There is always a very low-density amount of interstellar gas and dust. The idea of black holes being like 'vacuums in space' is a crude simplification created so that young children can have a basic concept of them. Black holes pull material in via gravity, not suction.

Why are black dwarfs not on a HR diagram?

Black holes dont appear on HR diagrams because HR diagrams are used to classify stars not find black holes Black holes emit no visible light (are not luminous enough) and therefore do not appear in the HR diagram.

How many black holes are in space?

billions upon billions space is neverending and we dont even no were thay are

How is the black hole explained?

Black holes havent quite been explained yet. Some scientists still havent found out why black holes are created, and what creates them. But people have suggested that black holes are usually made o rubbish. (Im talking about junk that is left in space such as crashed space ships, or either broken satelites) Black holes have been spoted, and have been investigated for so many years. So many suggestions have come up, but it still hasent been properly explained. I hope this helped! Im kind of new to wiki answers, so im trying my best! Dont say bad comments about this ok!! I THINK this is right, so dont copy it if its for homework or work!!! lol Thanks! ;)

What country does carbon black come from?

They need more black and mixed teen stars i dont ever see any on tv. Dont you think im right?

for sure!

Where was Stanley Yelnats in holes come from?

What do some scientist think cause quasars?

Some scientist think that quasars may be caused by black holes, but they are not sure how this happens. Please dont copy. Use your own words! - Anonymous <3

Has someone taken a pitcher of a black holes?

Yes actually there was, I just dont know who and when this picture was taken...but still, im not that sure.
