Most ferrets whether male or female don't like to be restrained, they are very active animals. Female ferrets tend to be more hyper, male ferrets are more laid back, but there are always exceptions as each ferret has it's own personality
Many cats are very independent. They like being free and feel as if they are being held captive whenever you hold them. That is not all cats though. This also has to do with the cat's past. Where did you get the cat? If you got it from a shelter then it won't be trustful of humans. If you really want it to love it when you hold it, then build you trust(food, toys, anything that makes your cat happy.)

If your cat doesn't like to be held, try holding her more gently, or not holding her at at all. Make a "shelf" of your arms for her to lay or stand on, so that the can knows she can easily get away. If your cat is more skittish than that, you can sometimes work up to it by encouraging her to sit on the edge or back of your chair, and pet her - but don't hold her.
One of my cats was very fearful of being held when I got her, but gradually would jump up on the back of my sofa and office chair. It took a few months to build up the trust so that she knew she could easily escape when I picked her up. ;3
With all honesty it is natural for a human to find being petted more comforting and soothing rather then hugs, but because of our common day knowledge and influences on TV and such, people will consider it to be kind of creepy and strange to pet someone. When Hugged animals tend to feel this as a trap. They feel insecure and unable to move. They are held in arms and unable to escape. Trapped and prey to their capture. While petting is relaxing and soothing.
Probably because they don't want to be held. Some cats just are not the cuddly sort.
It also could be because of some sort of health issue. It might be in pain when you hold it, you should take them to the vet for a check up soon.
Cats are very personal and independent creatures. Actions such as sniffing your cat may make him feel as if you are invading his personal space.
They probably had small wild cats as pet cats, but of course domesticated them. Like how the Native Americans had wolves as pet dogs, but made them domesticated. Or something like that.
cats hunting for prey and dogs sniffing other dogs out like they would in the wild to see who they are
i like monkeys :)
Probably, After a while.
Sometimes. Gays prefer cats to big dogs. But some gays may like little dogs more than cats.
In males mostly dogs are liked coz the dogs are loyal ,lovable, they also protect people and also dogs are most adventurous .male also like cats but not as much as they like dogs. In females cats are more liked coz cats are cute, lovable, and its mostly kept by females as a pet as a sweet and innocent pet.
pet stores sell animals like ,dogs, cats ,hamster, fish, gerbils,
Yes, but so are cats. Cats and dogs are.
That's an opinion but I like Dogs and cats. If you allergenic a snake :-)
It's a matter of opinion. According to a book I read on cats, more people have pet cats than dogs. BUt that doesn't mean they like cats better. It really just depends on the person itself.
Wild cats, pet cats, wild dogs, and pet dogs. Large fish prey on frogs, too.
