If you are having problems getting into High-Detail runescape or you can get in but it is really slow, it could be because you do not have enough memory free to play it on high detail, I suggest you free memory by closing programs that you don't need, especially the ones in the background. If this doesn't solve your problems then it may be because your computer/Laptop doesn't meet the high detail requirements in some way, but this doesn't mean you can't play Runescape, you can still play it in Low Detail and at the same time making slight adjustments on the Graphics.

I'm on vista right now and I have the same problem, there is no way to fix this until Jagex decides to release a vista compatible version of High-Detail Runescape.

There is no virus in Runescape, if you can't trust it then simply don't play it. If you have set you security way too high, turn down your firewall a notch then try again, if that don't work then use tools > Internet options > security and add Runescape.com to your trusted sites list, is that don't work then your computer just won't simply allow you to play runescape on it. Note: Make sure you aren't playing on High-Detail mode, you need a decent computer/Laptop to play on that Detail, although the old High-Detail should be ok.How do I do that? You do not need to play on high detail. You can choose low detail which is still the old runescape requirements. If the box is still like that, it means you have no java. So install the latest java from www.java.com. Leveling Up; Depending on your level you could train at gorillas in the monkey temple on ape atoll. You could also train at the bandit camp in the desert.
