This may be because it requires more RAM Memory than your computer can provide, as well as graphics drivers.

How do you get high detail on runescape because you downloaded java version 6 update 17 please help you?

If you are having problems getting into High-Detail runescape or you can get in but it is really slow, it could be because you do not have enough memory free to play it on high detail, I suggest you free memory by closing programs that you don't need, especially the ones in the background. If this doesn't solve your problems then it may be because your computer/Laptop doesn't meet the high detail requirements in some way, but this doesn't mean you can't play Runescape, you can still play it in Low Detail and at the same time making slight adjustments on the Graphics.

What systems are required to play RuneScape?

The minimum system requirements to play runescape (on lower detail) is 128MB of RAM, a 500Mhz processor and the latest version of Java installed. For high detail 236MB of RAM, a 1.5Ghz processor and a Nvidia GeForce 3 or equivilent graphics card is required.

Would you be able to play runescape on the acer aspire one mini computer that has XP?

Provided you have java, flash n all that you should be able to play it on any computer, there's a 50% chance though you may not be able to play Runescape if you are running a MAC, and also there's a 50% chance if either way that you may not be able to play Runescape in High-Detail, but still be able to play it in Low-Detail.

When is RuneScape gathering?

runescape people play all the time, if i was not right to answer your question, try adding more detail

I just downloaded vista and I dont know why Runescape wont work on high detail i get half way then it pulls up this thing on advanced users and it sais dont worry you can always play on low detail?

I'm on vista right now and I have the same problem, there is no way to fix this until Jagex decides to release a vista compatible version of High-Detail Runescape.

Why does runescape have x in top left corner and how do you fix it?

It means you either don't have Java installed, or you have a previous version of Java that needs updating. You can visit www.Java.com to update/ install java. You can also play Runescape by switching from High Detail to Low Detail. Perhaps your processor can't handle HD.

Is there a virus on RuneScape cause I can't get on and my friend says my virus blocker is too strong?

There is no virus in Runescape, if you can't trust it then simply don't play it. If you have set you security way too high, turn down your firewall a notch then try again, if that don't work then use tools > Internet options > security and add Runescape.com to your trusted sites list, is that don't work then your computer just won't simply allow you to play runescape on it. Note: Make sure you aren't playing on High-Detail mode, you need a decent computer/Laptop to play on that Detail, although the old High-Detail should be ok.How do I do that? There is no internet options in my tools. and how do I turn my firewall down?

How much megabytes does runescape use up whilst playing?

That depends on what Detail Level you use, low detail hardly takes up much where as high detail takes a little bit more memory to play, but either way this won't hardly effect your computer.

My computer wont let me play runescape...because of the high detail updates. it just shows a box with an x at the top left hand corner. what do i do p.s. how do i level up easily?

You do not need to play on high detail. You can choose low detail which is still the old runescape requirements. If the box is still like that, it means you have no java. So install the latest java from www.java.com. Leveling Up; Depending on your level you could train at gorillas in the monkey temple on ape atoll. You could also train at the bandit camp in the desert.
