Compared to Old Sim-city's (e.t.c Simcity Nintendo, 2000, 3000) Simcity 4 gives more new Buildings and high quality features due to the old ones and able to do more than others. Compared to Simcity 4 Deluxe (Simcity Deluxe= Simcity 4 & Simcity 4 Rush Hour Expansion Pack ) Simcity 4 only have in transport roads and one bridge. But in^(Simcity Deluxe...) it has Avenues (Four-Laned Roads), One-way Roads, Streets, and others (available on simtropolis), plus has new U-Drive-It Missions that you can drive cars, vans, garbage trucks, and many more.

No, you do not need "SimCity" to play SimCity Societies. All you need to do to play SimCity Societies, is go to TARGET, Walmart, or meijer near where you live and buy SimCity Societies in the electronic department. After you do that when you come you can play SimCity Societies on your computer buy installing it. It probably won't work on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT: Workstation 4.0, or Windows 2000 Professional. Tim Springer (a.k.a. Rudeparent2009)
Sim City 2000 will not run on Mac OS X. It may run in the Classic environment which was included with older versions of Mac OS X but is not included in the latest versions 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard). An alternative approach would be software that emulates an older Mac such as SheepShaver (See links below) but either way it will probably take some tweaking to get it running.
