I have no idea when this was written, the motion picture (Amelia) came out last year. It is the first fictionalized film specifically on Ms Earhart. It did not do well at the box office and got bad reviews ( Dead on Arrival- said one paper) whether they would do a remake is questionable.

They were Edwin Stanton Earhart and Amelia Otis Earhart.
Samuel Earhart was a relative of Amelia Earhart and he died in 1851. Not much else is known about Samuel Earhart.
It's either Robert Earhart or Edwin Earhart.
