He could've been at Juliet's casket waiting for Romeo
the prince
In my opinion, Friar Lawrence is guilty for Romeo and Juliet's death. I think he is guilty because he married Romeo and Juliet. He gave Juliet the potion, and because he didn't get the message to Romeo, I think that he should have met up with Romeo on the outside of Capulet's tomb. Or maybe he could of gone to Mantua and met with Romeo face to face.
Friar Lawrence sent the note to Romeo on the same day of Juliet's supposed death.
In act 5 of Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence did not consider that his plan to fake Juliet's death with a potion might not reach Romeo in time or that miscommunications could lead to tragedy. Additionally, he did not anticipate the unforeseen events that ultimately led to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
Friar Lawrence was guilty of marrying Romeo and Juliet in secret, giving Juliet the potion to fake her death, and not communicating his plans effectively to Romeo, which ultimately led to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
Yes. Friar Lawrence sends Romeo a letter to tell him of Juliet's 'fake death', but Romeo never gets the letters. :(
Friar Lawrence has a plan that Juliet will fake her death then Romeo will pick her up from the tomb and take her to Mantua.
Friar lawrence is some what responsible for Romeo's death. Friar Lawrence gave the letter to Friar John explaining Juliet's plan to fake kill herself. But because of the plague (which was very common back then) Friar John was delayed and could not deliver the letter to Romeo in Mantua. Romeo found out from Balthasar that Juliet was dead (when really it was the poison and she was not dead). He then ran to the Capulets tomb to kill himself in order to be with her in heaven.
Juliet and Friar Lawrence made the plan to fake Juliet's death so she could runaway with Romeo. They had planed for her to take a vile that would make her cold and fall asleep for 48 hours. Friar Lawrence sent a note to Romeo telling of their plan so Romeo and Friar Lawrence could go retrieve Juliet once her funeral was over.
Juliet meets Friar Lawrence at his cell, where they form a plan to fake her death using a potion that will make her appear lifeless. She hopes to avoid marrying Paris and reunite with Romeo.
I believe he tells her to fake her own death so he can get Romeo to see her in her crypt. Unfortunately, Romeo doesn't get the letter he sent, so he believed Juliet to be dead.
Juliet's only solution to her problem with Friar Lawrence in "Romeo and Juliet" is to fake her own death with his help in order to escape her arranged marriage to Paris and reunite with Romeo.
