With great difficulty.

The South Magnetic Pole is currently located about 200 km from Dumont D'Urville off the coast of Antarctica in the Southern Ocean, due south of Adelaide, Australia.

It is moving at about 5 km per year in a north to northwesterly direction.

It has not been located "on" the Antarctic continent for some years and is not even within the Antarctic Circle.

How does the Earths magnetism help us find your way?

As such till now there is no proper or valid theory to prove or explain the cause of earth's magnetic field. A bar magnet or a magnetic compass alligns itself in the direction of earth's magnetic field. This process happens as south pole of magnet alligns itself to north pole of earth n vice versa true north pole is southpole of magnet. Exact location of places can be done by calculating the magnetic flux density n various other factor . . . . . .

What do magnetic minerals prove the earth has had?

The presence of magnetic minerals in rocks proves that the Earth has had a varying magnetic field over time. This is evidence of the geodynamo process within the Earth's outer core, where convection currents generate the magnetic field.

What continent did the US exploring expedition prove exists?

The US Exploring Expedition, also known as the Wilkes Expedition, did not prove the existence of any new continent. Instead, it focused on exploring the waters and lands of the Pacific region, including Antarctica, and contributing to scientific knowledge about that region.

How can you prove that a magnetic form of iron exists in soil?

One way to prove the presence of magnetic form of iron in soil is to use a magnet. If the soil is attracted to the magnet, it indicates the presence of magnetic iron compounds. Another method is to analyze the soil samples using techniques like magnetic susceptibility measurements or Mössbauer spectroscopy to detect magnetic minerals like magnetite or maghemite.
