If you get sick enough of listening to it and you don't mind having your kid fail, on the back there is an Emergency start/stop opening. Supposedly if press this with a paper clip (not a pen or pencil) for about 15 seconds, the baby will be shutdown.
According to the manual, there are four ways the baby will shutdown:
- Emergency stop button was used
- Neglect stop: Baby was neglected for 12 hours and shut down
- Abuse stop: Baby was abused 24 times and shut down
- Battery stop: Baby batteries died and Baby shut down
Supposedly, some kids figured out that if they put it in the freezer, it would think the battery died but this has since been addressed by the company.
