yes aligators are more notoriously known for their violent behavior
Another Answer:
Actually I've heard that crocodiles are more dangerous because they are bigger and more aggressive, so the I think the answer above got it mixed up.
Actually, the first answerer is correct. crocodiles are not bigger nor more aggressive than an alligator; alligators have wider jaws and are bigger creatures. Crocodiles have more narrow, sloped jaws and aren't quite as big or as aggressive as alligators.
Actually, crocodiles attack anything that comes across it's path. They are ambush hunters. Alligators on the other hand, have heavy bodies but prefer to attack smaller things than it self, unless provoked. DEATH ROLL!
so you decide.
Nile and Indo-pacific crocodiles are both known man eaters and account for more human deaths than any other large predetor. Alligators oly rarely kill humans and seem not to look on the as a prey species.
Very dangerous. They can bite you in half, Also the deadliest predator alive today!!!
I agree with this Guy.!!!
I think that crocodiles look a bit like Dolphins!!!
Crocodiles, especially the saltwater species are much larger and easily more aggressive. I have worked with all types of reptiles, crocodiles included.
I watched a reptile handler from America, who had two alligators at home, enter the crocodile enclosure (the keys were left in the door!) at Singapore zoo despite my repeated warnings. He touched a tail and as it swung around he missed getting eaten by about 10cm, twice!
After being chased around a bit he came out and told me about how you can wrestle alligators as they are so docile!
Don't ever attempt to wrestle a saltie. Don't even approach one.
yes Crocodiles are more dangerous than Alligators. Because they have a stronger bite than alligators.
if you dont want to get technical then no. but they both are aggressive by blood. crocs have less tolerance tho. id say crocs
Yes and then can even have up to twice the biting strength and be twice as fast
Crocodile's are moodier and kill more people than Alligators.
they are kind of deadly they can kill you with their bite but don't reduce poison
alligators and crocodiles depending on your region
Like Crocodiles, Alligators have salt glands. However, unlike crocodiles, these are not active, and so the alligator can perhaps only stay in salt water for a few hours at the MOST. Crocodiles are more adapted to life in the ocean than alligators, because their salt glands work :)
Both crocodiles (alligators and crocodiles) and dinosaurs are descended from a group of reptiles called archosaurs, which emerged in the Triassic period.
Alligators and crocodiles use their tales to swim rapidly. They are able to propel themselves further in the water using the tail.
No, both can live seventy years or more.
Yes, Alligators are more friendly to Humans than Crocodiles.
No. They're usually not, but sometimes there are water snakes or crocodiles and alligators which can be very dangerous.
