^WRONG. The person using it has the potential to becomedangerous; however, the gun is not dangerous in the least. The gun is just as guilty of injuring the victim as my keyboard is for msispllenig words.

They are an inanimate object, like a hammer or a knife. People and how they use tools are what is dangerous, not the object they use.

To answer your question, a gun is just liable for causing harm as my pencil is for misspelled words and grammatical errors.
