Very dangerous. A Puma is a large wild cat and will attack. Every so often one will come down into the LA hills and attack a jogger ( this happened last year). They do this when small animals are hard to find, if they are sick, and if their hunting grounds have been built over by developers ( a big problem in LA). The wildfires too may also send them into more populated areas.

Why is it so dangerous that the jaguar are getting extinct?

It's dangerous because jaguars are the main predators in the rainforest, and for some overpopulated species in the rainforest, jaguars are the creatures only predator, and with the jaguar to keep the population in control, they'd overpopulate and would all get sick and die or eat all their food source, thus endangering the other species who depend in that food source as well as themselves. So this is why it's dangerous if Jaguars become extinct. Jaguars are not listed as endangered, but near threatened. Also, the jaguar shares its habitat with another big cat, the puma.
