"There are several dangers associated with a herniated disk. Firstly, continued irritation of an already herniated disk will cause increased pain and discomfort as well as some loss of mobility. Further dangers might include those associated with surgery, should the condition require it."
I don't know what you mean by dangerous but it's not life-threatening, if that's what you wanted to find out. It does pose danger of herniating a disc, though.
There are a few natural ways to "unbulge" a disc and prevent it from turning into a herniated disc, ahich is a more severe injury to the spine.
I've attached a link to an article that explains how to naturally treat bulging discs.

Chronic back pain, numbness, weakness are all symptoms of a slipped disk. Minor cases can be treated with cold and/or hot packs followed by stretching exercises as the condition improves. Only about 10 percent of slipped disc sufferers eventually have surgery. Indeed in severe cases surgery may be a last resort. The type of surgery will vary. Discectomy removes disk material that is pressing on a nerve; laminotomy removes a thin part of the vertebrae. Many procedures are performed with minimally invasive laser surgery.

Many things can cause low back injuries - muscle strain or spasm, sprains of ligaments (which attach bone to bone), joint problems or a "slipped disk." The most common cause is using your back muscles in activities you're not used to, such as lifting heavy furniture or doing yard work. Unexpected events such as taking a fall or a car accident can also cause low back pain. A slipped disk (also called a herniated disk) happens when a disk between the bones of the spine bulges and presses on nerves. This is often caused by twisting while lifting. Many people who have a slipped disk don't know what caused it. In most cases, slipped disks and other low back pain can be relieved by following a few simple methods. http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/common/pain/treatment/117.html
