Have seen a very small spider with 4 white dots and 1 red dot. Not a red back. Ta ~Snaff
Is it a white orb? In that case it would be an egg sack. If it is actually a white spot it cold be a wolf spider. I am sure another user could provide a more detailed answer but I have seen wolf spiders with white spots.
Araneus diadematus(AKA cross spider) is the only spider i can think of that i know of that is brown/black and has a cross on its back. Here are some photos. http://www.nicksspiders.com/nicksspiders/araneusdiadematus.htm

The spider that is black with a white crescent on its back is the Brown House Spider. This spider is often confused with the red-back spider.
I just caught a spider that matches this description. After looking online, I think it may be a jumping spider from the family Salticidae. I believe that spider is Phidippus Audax a.k.a the Bold Jumping Spider.
A brown spider that has a white diamond on its back is known as a Parson spider. This spider does have a mildly venomous bite.
a spider known as a cross spider usaually found in the uk
A green spider with a red spot is dangerous if it is a red back. Normally, green spiders are not dangerous.
WHAT KIND OF SPIDER IS A WHITE SPIDER WITH A BRIGHT ORANGE PATTERN ON ITS BACK
My guess is that this spider you saw was either a Jumping Spider (quite possibly a Daring Jumping Spider) or a Parson Spider.
The worst kind.
