Even though Hitler did not win the WW2, he had a lot of help from Hitler Youth (HJ).
Hitler youth gained massive support from the future generation and the PARENTS. Propaganda poster made Hitler youth look fun ( which it actually was) and also taught kids on how to behave.
Hitler was thinking long-term as he was using HJ to indoctrinate (brain-wash) the youth so they will support him in the future. However, since Hitler lost the war, HJ was abolished. Hitler gained over a MILLION support from HJ.
This gave Hitler the confident invade other countries and break the treaty of Versailles's law.
He brainwashed them thinking that The US and their allies were evil, when a boy turned 16 they became a Nazi.
Hitler made the youth to believe he could make all his or her dreams come true, he would say to them "Do not forget that you will someday rule the world." thats what really inspired the Hitler Youth.
Propaganda, supplied by the HJ Gliederung ( structure) and also from other propaganda mills and millers like Joseph Paul Goebbels. Posters, songs, marching parades and so on- beat the HJ drum. the role of the higher levels as a sort of ROTC for Army and SS men was stressed in some ads. It should be noted the Hitler Youth was founded by Baldur Von Schirach- governor of Vienna and Not- strictly speaking, Hitler himself. Von Schirach also made up the HJ theme song. later leader was SS officer- at least Field Grade- Artur Axmann. Under Axmann"s command the l2Th SS Panzer division was directly staffed from Hitler Youth personnel. Von Schirach survived the war and did time after the Nuremburg trials- I have read about him and he almost seems like a refined- nice guy, not a Hate maniac like Goebbels.- well they tried to present a wholesome Youth Image!
Not feeding them...
I'm sure that there was a mix in the group of children, but their officers told the kids to tell them if their parents complained about Hitler Youth
Did the children in Britain have to join a youth group?
Hitler created the Hitler Youth in order to indoctrinate the youth of Germany into believeing Nazi Ideals like Jewish people are bad. It is easy to get young children to believe anything if you tell them the same thing over and over again, that is why he created the Hitler Youth. Hitler expected that from his Hitler Youth the children would grow up with his ideals and therefore not rebel against him. He also was training the young boys in the Hitler youth for the military.
No, he just 'brain-washed' them into believing that Hitler's view were the best so that when they were older they would vote for him. If he wanted them to follow him he wouldn't starve them.

It didn't.

he wanted to brain-wash the children into thinking everything he did was right
No he did not. However, most of the Hitler Youth were later taken into the army or the home defense forces and huge numbers were killed in the latter days of the war.

By the age of 10, little boys joined Hitler Youth or Hitler Jugend.
Hitler never had any children of his own. He considered the Hitler Youth his children since they were so loyal to him. Many fought in the war for him and some died for him.
no
All youth age 14 or older in Germany were required by Hitler to be enrolled Hitler Youth. Joseph Ratzinger was conscripted but refused to attend meetings.
