Akbar was a great mughal emperor and a tolerant ruler. His tolerance also kept the mughal empire united. He was a great warrier and won many battles. Though he was illiterate he managed his empire very well.

well i have doubt that he was tolerant rather the impact of hinduism made him liberal and hence wanted to create new religion which was blend of both hinduism and islam.. his tactful approach to counter his enemies was what helped him establish mughal empire.. he married rajpoot woman so that the fighter clan in india support him against him.. thanks and regards

Akbar, fourth son of Aurangzeb, revolted against him by siding with the Rajputs and later sought help of the Marathas. After his rebellion, Aurangzeb ordered his name to be written as Akbar the worst!
