1. France and Great Britain are our allies. We needed to support them so using the Lend-Lease Act, this let the President directed aid to whoever he wanted to and then talked about debts and paybacks later.

2. Japan invaded China. Back in the days we were pretty cool with Russia. Whatever pissed them off, pissed us off apparently. (I don't know if this is legitiment I got this from a site so don't quote me there. Anyways it violated the Kellogg- Briand Pact. Which pretty much said that we wont use war to settle deputes (because we told Japan if they don't get out of China, we'll stop giving them oil and metal and they never got out so we just stopped trading with Japan).

3. The bombing of Pearl Harbor December 7 1941. It attacked the interest of America and also innocent civilians were killed as well.

4. Germans attacked our vessels when we were sailing sold supplies to Britain. It almost in a way was sorta dejavu to the U.S cuz it was a reference to the War of 1812 where we were pissed off at the Britain's for impressment of our sailors and what not.

My sources you may ask?

Lectures from my AP U.S History class and the assignment that I'm doing right now involves answering this.
