he got a telescope from his friend george ellicott and studied astronomy every night.
yes :)
Benjamin Banneker used trigonometry and advanced mathematical calculations to predict solar and lunar eclipses. He referred to mathematical tables and made observations of celestial bodies to estimate their positions and movements accurately. His predictions were notable for their accuracy and were used by others for navigation and astronomical purposes.
The solar eclipse on April 14, 1789 was successfully predicted by Benjamin Banneker
On earth there are 2 eclipses, Lunar and Solar eclipses
Solar eclipses can only occur at the new moon, while all lunar eclipses happen at the full moon.
Because for any given point on Earth, lunar eclipses are visible more often than solar eclipses.

Benjamin Banneker
Benjamin Banneker made the first striking clock to be made completely in America. He published an Almanac from 1791 to 1796. He helped to survey the District of Columbia. He published a treatise on bees, did a mathematical study on the cycle of seventeen year locust and wrote passionately about the antislavery movement.

There is no documented evidence to suggest that Banneker belonged to any particular religious sect; however, he is known to have visited Quaker meetings. He believed in the Christian bible as taught to him by his grandmother, white English indentured servant Molly Welsh. He had a strong faith in the "fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man." In the book that I am writing on Banneker, I suggest that he has had two major spiritual influences in his life: Quakers and Masons.
By making the first clock and accurately predicting the first solar eclipse, both in 1789.
Benjamin Banneker died in Baltimore, Maryland in October of 1806. He was born in 1731 and is most remembered for being an assistant in the survey of the District of Columbia and predicting a solar eclipse.
'C' (the missing one) is the correct choice.
Solar and lunar eclipses
Solar eclipses are caused by the shadow of the Moon hitting the Earth. Solar eclipses happen on the Earth.
All eclipses are shadows. A solar eclipse is the Moon's shadow on the Earth. A lunar eclipse is the Earth's shadow on the Moon.
