He didn't.
Benjamin Franklin was the Father of Electricity. He did not invent it, but he did discover it. He simply did the kite and key experiment to find that lightning is just electricity.
The most succinct response I can think of to make to this question is:Buh?Benjamin Franklin didn't "find light". Perhaps you're thinking of Thomas Edison and the light bulb.

No it wasn't. Do you think Benjamin Franklin just went out when a thunderstorm was happening and decided to fly a kite? No. Obviously not. He went outside, during the thunderstorm, to find out if electricity came from lightning. And as so it did. He got struck by lightning.
I searched but all i could find was that he was born in Boston, Massachusetts.
Electricity has been around since the first thunderstorm. It wasn't invented. The first person to find out about electricity was Benjamin Franklin, when he famously flew his kite in a thunderstorm, and got shocked by lightning. The power plant and lightbulb, were invented by Thomas Edison.
There are many websites and resources that offer information on Benjamin Franklin's inventions over the years. Some of these websites that offer information are The Franklin Institute and US History.
