People who where on the side of great Britain during the American Revolution
The people of the American revolution fought for independance from the british. They where taxed to high, expecially on tea which started the first of many movments against the nation of Britain called "The Boston Tea Party."

The American Revolution began when Britain sent troops to suppress a growing rebellion in its North American colonies. The people of the colonies eventually declared independence from Britain as the United States of America.

Canada was actually part of Great Britain and was a hiding place for Loyalists (people who where loyal to Britain).
It made people angry, as massacres often do.
The intolerable acts closed the prot of Boston, alllowed Britain to house troops anywhere, and allowed Britain to conquer even mor of the Americas.
The importance of studying the American Revolution lies in not repeating the mistakes of the past. Citizens need to be vigilant, so that the government does not tread on the freedoms of the people as in the years preceding the revolution.
