when the empire dude, convereted to Buddhism and did not make his people do any wars and helped them focus on not wanting stuff so they had a better life. hope this helps. p.s. i m a 6th grader, and just finished learning about this litterally 1/2 days ago in s.s./the empire dudes name was asoka and was once a very vishous fighter and im a 6 grader
