For the victors (those who write History), Hitler's suicide served important Propaganda purposes : it is good public relations for the winners that their arch enemy dies in a humiliating way, magnifying his defeat and portraying him as a weak individual.
The victory has to be moral on top of being material, it has to produce an effect on the populations of the vanquished nations in order to serve the winning nations interest (and the one of the leaders who run the whole show from both sides).
