Yes ignitus does die near they end of dawn of dragon and Spyro wanted to go back for him and save him but Cynder convinced him that he had sacrificed himself to save them from the fire ground where fire was all around them.
Is ghost of ignitus a real Spyro game?
No, Ignitus' ghost appears in Dawn of the Dragon after Malefor is pulled underground by spirits, though. Ignitus tells Spyro that when a dragon dies, his spirit lives on, and etc. Not gonna spoil the rest of the ending... So, no Ghost of Ignitus is not a Spyro game.

Well, your not supposed to do anything though... But, if you dont know who the dragons are, I'll tell you. Ignitus is a redish-orangish fire dragon. Terrador is a green earth dragon. Volteer is a yellow lightning dragon. Cyril is a blue ice dragon. And, Spyro is a rare purple dragon. Cynder is a blackish-purple dragon but I dont know if she is purple or black.

Spyro can die.But will eventually be alive later on,probably a few metres back but in wii spyro will nevr permanentally die,but im not sure because i havent finished the whole game yet.when ever spyro dies hes always a few metres back where he started.
