No it's an independent country. Before 1947 India Pakistan and Bangladesh was all together. In 47 India and Pakistan got separated. Bangladesh was a part of Pakistan from 1947 to 1971. It got its independence in 71 from Pakistan after 9 months of liberation war. As a matter of fact, Bangladesh was never a part of India though it's surrounded by India in 3 sides.
