There are no problems when using the metric system. The metric system is a lot simpler than any archaic country-specific system. If you are usinĝ a country-specific system, this is a lot more complicated, as you have to convert so your customers can understand your products.

I have homework in my science book with the same exact question.. literally its word from word. well there really is no answer to this question. all there is, is a bunch of countries that went metric in the 1900's which is not useful so take my advice and put no answer next to that question.

Because a long time ago, the whole world was switching to metric. Basically what happened is that most of the american people wanted to keep the old one, so we never switched to metric.
