After Jesus was baptized by John the baptist in the Jordan river, heavens opened and the Holy Spirit descended on Him, like a dove while a voice coming from heavens declared, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
One main difference between them is that the Jehovah's Witnesses speak and tell people that the name of god is Jehovah (or Yahweh). The Jewish people practice not pronouncing the name of the Divine God because of superstition or that the divine name is too holy to be spoken by imperfect lips. Another difference is that the Jewish people believe that Jesus is NOT the Messiah. The Jehovah's witnesses believes otherwise.
Yes. Both he and his wife were Jehovah's Witnesses when they were married in 1996. As of 2015, they both attend the Universal Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Studio City, California. They are both active in the religion, which means they knock on people's doors (on a monthly basis at the minimum) to tell them about the Bible and Jesus Christ.
The Baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan is a significant event in Christian belief, symbolizing Jesus' acceptance of his role as the Son of God. According to the Gospels, John the Baptist baptized Jesus, and upon emerging from the water, the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus in the form of a dove, with a voice from heaven proclaiming Jesus as God's beloved Son. This event marks the beginning of Jesus' public ministry.
We believe that Jesus is God's(Jehovah) son. At Matthew 3:17 after Jesus' baptism a voice from heaven says, "This is my son the beloved whom I have approved. Also at John 3:16 the scriptures tell us that God sent his only son to die for us.
The Bible is the Word of God given to mankind as a guide or instruction manual. As the 2nd divine being of the God Family, the Father is supreme and give the Word who became Jesus the authority to tell/inspire mankind with these writings.
Acts 1:4, 5 - And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart fromJerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." If you are a baptized Witness you can ask one of your elders in your congregation and they will assist you on how to get your baptismal record. Normally the branch office in your country will release it for you provided you tell them the date of your baptism and other pertinent informations.
You can go and evangelize to them.
Every day.
Acts 2:38-39New King James Version (NKJV) 38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
As there were always people gathered to listen to Jesus speak, the story is told to the people.
