JFK was the leader and THE man. He and his wife were like parents to all of America. JFK brought a feeling of protection to the people of America and when he died, the people lost that feeling protected.

I was 13 when he died and it was awful. We only had 3 TV channels in those days and every one of them was about his death for several days. I saw Jack Ruby shoot Oswald on TV alive. I remember going to San Fransisco and seeing a picture of JFK in a bank window all draped in black velvet. I hope we never have this happen again because it is so bad to see it happen.
