Albus Dumbledore was the head of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series. Lord Voldemort created horcruxes from different objects including a ring. Dumbledore was able to destroy Voldemorts ring by stabbing it with the sword of Gryffindor.
Voldemort shot the killing curse at Harry and Harry used a spell to backfire it at him. The killing curse backfired and killed Voldemort, so technically it was suicide.
He wanted to become immortal.
After Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, and Neville have destroyed all the horcruxes, Harry simply reflects Voldy's killing curse and all ends well.

Destroy the horcruxes
Yes, Harry won and Voldemort died.
Only the sword of Gryffindor takes in what makes it stronger, the Horcruxes don't do this. The sword was infused with basilisk venom, which made it strong enough to destroy the locket. Fiendfyre is also strong enough to destroy them.
Voldemort made seven Horcruxes. Harry destroyed one in his second year and Dumbledore destroyed one just before his sixth year which left five Horcruxes to destroy (although he only thought there was four). In the end, every Horcrux was destroyed by different people (Harry, Dumbledore, Ron, Hermione, Crabbe, Voldemort, Neville)
Lord Voldemort was never immortal. He spent the majority of his life trying to make sure that he would never truly die, but he did this by creating Horcruxes which were destroyed. Once Harry had sourced and destroyed all of the Horcruxes, there was nothing different about Voldemort. So when he was hit by a killing curse he died, just like anybody would. He wasn't really immortal.

Harry needs to kill the horcruxes created by Lord Volde- (sorry, can't say it) which is the only way to defeat he-who-must-not-be-named. Horcruxes can only destroyed by certain magical items such as the sword of Gryffindor, or a basilisk fang.
