By marrying the crownprince of France (Louis XVI) who eventually became King (which made her Queen).

She was an Austrian Archduchesse (prinsess) and her mother (the empress of Austria) had made a "deal" with the then King of France, Louis XV, to arrange a marriage between the two children. It was out of political reasons the 2 were married off.
