She was treated horribly during her whole reign (mean pamphlets were printed and spread throughout the whole country, even her own family and friends betrayed her by financing these pamphlets to be printed and spread), gossips were unstoppable and got worse and worse, during her imprisonment the revolutionaries first beheaded her closest friend, the Princess de Lamballe, took her head to a hairdresser so it would be coiffed in the right way, and then bobbed it up and down the prison window where Marie Antoinette was held. Then they took away her husband and eventually beheaded him, they took away her son, her "chou d'amour" (precious darling), abused him, made him drink alcohol (he was then 8 years of age), taught him how to curse his mother and family and sing revolutionary songs so loud that his mother could hear him and eventually had him so drunk that he signed a document in which was written that he states to be sexually abused by his own mother. Then they took Marie Antoinette to her final prison and didn't even let her say goodbye to her daughter and son. She was heavily bleeding (some say that it might be a beginning cervical cancer) and the guards would not give her clean linnens in time to change, or even turn away their heads when she was to change her clothing. She went down in history as the greatest marter and an innocent victim of the French Revolution.
