I don't think you really need to ask this. I mean just look outside. Look at who's president. EVERYTHING. Look how many rights Martin Luther King Jr. gave African Americans today. The first Black President. African Americans can vote. People don't look at a person's skin they judge them by who they really are. These all are rights that Martin Luther King Jr. helped with. If it wasn't for the Civil Right Movement and Martin Luther King Jr. none of this would be happening today.
Martin Luther was a German Augustinian friar, who came to reject some of the teachings of the Catholic Church. He was really looking for change when he nailed the 95 Theses of Contention to the Wittenberg Church door. But, what he started was the Reformation, and in general, the Protestant church. A main idea, still part of the Lutheran Church (ELCA), is that as Paul's Epistle to the Romans, says, "The just will live by faith." He realized the key to spiritual salvation was not to fear God or be enslaved by religious dogma but to believe that faith alone would bring salvation.
Martin Luther did his best to destroy Christianity, and although he couldn't succeed as Our Blessed Lord had guaranteed that His Church would remain until the end of the world, nevertheless, M. Luther DID succeed in bringing whole countries out of the Church (outside of a few outstanding martyrs for the faith. As of 2015 there are currently over 28,000 difference "denominations" of protestant "Christianity" each claiming to preach the truth! So, it was not just the thousands of individuals who were denied the sacraments because their kings and princes chose Martin Luther over the Church, but generations later, there are millions of individuals brought up with a hatred for Christ's Church, thinking that they are "Christians" and, to the extent that they are validly baptized, they are, but without any of the means of salvation that Our Blessed Lord left His Church.
One way/ He lead the protestant reformation and started the protestant church.
Martin Luther was also the one who put Christianity in a good light. He presented Christianity in a very good way which made people interested.
