I'm not very sure on that. However, Michael did sprain his ankle once during 1993. He explained that when he was dancing, he went into a spin and twisted his ankle. Therefore he had to perform 'Remember the Time' live while sitting in a chair the entire time.

When performing 'One Time' at wembley statium at Taylor Swift's concert, at the begining of the song when he ran on, he tripped over a wire or something. He knew he had hurt his ankle real bad, but continued to sing, and performed as much as the dance routine as he could on a broken ankle. What a trouper <3
