By the seventh century, when Muhammad began to talk about his new religion, Christianity and Judaism already had a significant presence in Arabia, spreading the concept of just one god. If they won the support of just one tribal leader, then an entire tribe would be required to convert to either Christianity or Judaism. In this way, they had already begun to win significant numbers of converts, and most pagans were more or less familiar with belief in just one god.
Whether there was one God or many gods was not so much of concern to potential converts, but whether Muhammad's God was a powerful God. Soon after his move to Medina, Muhammad made strong tribal alliances, not by convincing leaders that his God was the only true god, but by strategic marriages. Soon he was demonstrating his military success, and it was this that really began to attract widespread support throughout the Arabian Peninsula. Whether tribes simply wanted to share in Muhammad's successes or actually believed that his God was the reason for those successes, large numbers quickly joined him.
Perhaps he made it up, in part using beliefs that were common in his time.Muslims, however, claim that he was inspired by archangel Gabriel.
feel comfortable and nice to Muhammad because most people only believe in one god.
Muhammad, the founder of Islam.
Yes. Actually the question is posed in a difficult fashion. Muslims believe that Islam is the religion that God wants people to follow. This entails that Muslims believe in God alone without partners and they believe that Muhammad is the final prophet of God. Everything that Muhammad brought is the final guidance to mankind until the day of judgment.
Muslims believe when the angle Gabriel visited prophet delivered the messages of God and he was selected a prophet to deliver messages of God to people.
Sunnis; as all other Muslims; believe in God (Allah) as the one and only one God and prophet Muhammad is his prophet and Messenger. They believe in Quran as God revelation to prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They follow Quran and prophet Muhammad teachings. Refer to question below for more details.
Muslim ascetics, like all Muslims, believe that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God. They are monotheists and believe in the Qur'an.
You mean by your question prophet Muhammad (PBUH). However, prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a God prophet and God Messenger who was assigned by Allah (or God in English) to convey to people the Islam message that God founded, and to convey to people the holy book Quran revealed to him by God through the angel Gabriel.. Refer to question below.
Yes. Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is Prophet of God. Make sure God with capital G, and not with small g. In order to make it more clear, Muhammad is the last Prophet of Allah.
As I see it, the Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet, but Muhammad was a more recent prophet. But they are very different because Jesus Christ is God, (Titus 2.13), and Muhammad is a prophet that tells of another God, Allah.
the god is allah, the most meriful and beneficial.
#1:Muslims believe that there is no god but Allah Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. #2:Musalims believe that God write the Qur'an. #3:Muslims believe that Allah began his revelations to Muhammad in the month of Ramadan.
You are confusing two religions. Christians believe that Jesus Christ came to die for our sins and allow us an eternity with God. They believe that he is the Son of God. Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet. They believe that Muhammad was God's most high prophet.
