Since this is looking for an opinion, there are bound to be several responses:View 1No. While on paper it sounds good to make the Middle East a nuclear free zone, it would not actually deter any of the states seeking nuclear weapons. Additionally, it would lead to Middle Eastern states being far more secretive about their nuclear capabilities.

There are probably many more than I am going to stet here but the most obvious one would be Country size and population difference, NZ is small and not heavily populated. NZ is also doing a lot to control pollution, is Nuclear free and doesn't interfere with the politics of other countries.
They just don't like nuclear in NZ, period.

Because NZ wouldn't let America's nuclear ships into her waters.
These are the 3 main reasons: 1) It will not have to worry of radiation exposure or failure of nuclear power plants. 2) It will not have to siphon off large amounts of money to Nuclear Development programs. 3) It will not be a Target.

China is not a nuclear free zone. They have many nuclear weapons. Though China has a nuclear policy which states that they are not allowed to produce,fire, or give away these weapons.
