How did Piqua Kentucky get its name?
If I'm not mistaken, the town is named after Piqua Shawnees that lived in the area.
I've been told by many elderly residence in Piqua,Ohio, that John Dillinger rob the largest bank in Piqua,Ohio at the time. There are bullet holes in the wall and ceiling to this day. He was staying in the Fort Piqua Hotel, which he also shot up. i m not sure it was dillinger but was thinking it was pretty boy floyd, dillinger did rob banks in new carliales and killed a sheriff in lima, but…
