I don't believe Robert Fullerton contributed to the industrial revolution. However, Robert Fulton did. Robert Fulton contributed to to industrial revolution by tinkering and making inventions. He invented the concept of the steamboat, which allowed good to be transferred upstream. This was used most notably on the Mississippi River.
