Roman Catholic AnswerSt. Teresa of Jesus (of Avila) was one of the greatest saints that arose after the protestant revolt. She reformed the Carmelite Order and founded the Discalced Carmelites. Her wonderful spirituality and prayer life, and magnificent writings which she left, written at the command of her superiors and confessors, have been and still are an inspirations to many throughout the Church. Her books are even published and read by protestants!
