As the drama of Osiris's death and vindication unfolded over the centuries, Anubis assumed the role of the guide who holds steady the scales on which their hearts are measured against the feather of ma'at as "He Who Counts the Hearts".

∙ 10y agoAnubis loves humans because he cannot feel emotions like humans can, and longs to feel those same emotions that he will never feel. He wanted the task of searching for humans after they die and are mummified to bring them to Osiris for questioning, because he got to spend more time around humans that way.
