Billie Joe Armstrong and the rest of Green Day went touring across the USA. and tried to book as many places as they could because they wanted to play in as many states as possible. They would be offered recording contracts by different companies, but they always rejected them because they didn't want to be in the mainstream. If they did, they would get negative feedback from punks that they used to play for at 924 Gilman Street. But, when someone from Lookout!Records offered them a contract, Billie Joe Armstrong was thinking, 'What if we did take this? What would happen? We could actually have potential.' In the end, the took a job with Lookout!Records. Their first hits were from 'Dookie' in 1994. They are now signed with Reprise Records.
