Well here comes a little history lesson... When Mary was 37 she succeeded her brother Edward as Queen. Now Mary was a catholic and she wanted to turn England into a catholic country. She decided to pass a law that if you don't change to catholic you will be executed. As being Christian myself I understand why the Protestants refused to go catholic. In Mary's 5 year reign she killed nearly 300 Protestants and earned the name Bloody Mary.
