well, before he died he went to Bolivia. there are two theories about how he died:
theory #1: in Bolivia, life for him was no different. butch and sundance were rustling cattle and robbing trains just like in the city, so soon the bolivian police were after them. he ran and hid in a bolivian village, which was soon surrounded by the police. there was a shootout, and both butch and sundance were killed.
theory #2: whenever butch comitted a crime, he always told himself that he was going to be good and keep the law. then he'd comitt another crime and try it again. but his sister said that after one of his crimes he moved to California and actually became a law-abiding citizen.
(personally i like the second one better.)
