This is just a really quick answer that can be and really should expanded on ...Jesus established the church when he was here on earth. He left us His Last testament (the New Testament in the Bible) to follow after His death and resurrection. To become a part of His church, one must believe he is the Son of God and died to take away the sins of all mankind(John 1:12 and 1 John 5:13), turn away from sin and follow His word Mark 6:12), confess He is the Son of God (Romams 10:9) and then be baptized (to wash away your sins) (Mark 16:16; Act 2:38) into the church.
Ultimately, Jesus was the founder of the church but many men (but not all) have, over time, changed His original plan.
