Many conservative businessmen and financiers did not support the economic measures of the New Deal. With the recession of 1937, many business leaders and politicians claimed that FDR's policies were a failure and the attempt to maintain prosperity during peacetime was not successful at all.
Many felt that the Depression was just part of the free enterprise (capitalistic) system correcting itself and the laws, such as supply and demand, of the free enterprise system would eventually heal the economy. Conservatives feared the increase by government into the daily lives of citizens. They also felt that the powers of the states were being infringed upon and that the continued cost to the taxpayer would cause unbelievable deficits that the people would be paying for decades to come.

Some also felt that the executive branch was assuming too much power.

Jesus is the son of God, not a politician. Now on the other hand if you look at the Conservatives (Republican) view verses the Liberal view (Democrat), you will notice that almost all the Conservatives view lines up with Christianity while the Liberal view opposes it.
The Southern conservatives limited these people from their rights due to anti-racial and anti-women views among the conservative group. They did not want any minorities or women benefitting from any of the new social programs.
