The landings were bloody, noisy, smoky and they had no place to hide just as what happened on Omaha beach.
Nearly all of the D-Day landings in the Pacific Theater and European Theater of Operations were scary, deadly and extremely difficult because the Japanese and the Nazis were very good forces.
