Flappers had bobbed hair cuts and wore shorter skirts with a lower hem line which made it easier to dance to the new styles of music they had in the 20s such as jazz. Flappers smoked, drank, cursed, voted and went to petting parties. They called it the new women. They wore lots of makeup and highly educated people called them the lowest degree of intelligence.
