weather and climate have a big influence on settlement patterns, someone who enjoys the heat would enjoy living in Florida rather than the Artic, and vise versa. another factor is vegetation, in Canada where I am from there is only about a two month period strawberries are available but in Another Country they are available more frequently. A third contributing factor is its developmental status, a third world country such as Bangladash is in the opinions of most a less appealing country to live in than Canada, which is a fully developed and functional country.

Physical geography such as climate, terrain, and water availability can influence where people choose to settle. Factors like access to resources, transportation, and natural barriers can impact settlement patterns by determining where it is feasible or beneficial for people to establish communities. For example, flat fertile land might attract agriculture-based settlements, while mountainous regions might have fewer inhabitants due to the challenges of living in such terrain.

The topography and physical features affect settlement patterns because communities must settle in areas which are 'inhabitable' and in close proximity to essential services. For example, it can be observed that the main primate cities of the world are located on large trade routes and are easily accessible usually also close to drinking water. The physical geography is vital in effective settlement patterns and is the very reason why cities are located where they are now.

Land-forms are earth that are naturally formed. People like to settle where there is security and comfort to life. The availability of basic resources like food, clothes and shelter available in the surroundings are the first choice of man. Soil and drainage are necessary for food. Hence plains, mountain ranges, water systems, etc. influence the people to settle down in those regions.

How does physical geography affect human life For each topic explain how it behaves as a system and give one example on how the system affect human life?

Climate: Climate influences the types of crops that can be grown in a region and determines the availability of water resources. As a system, climate interacts with topography and ocean currents to create local climate patterns. For example, droughts caused by prolonged dry periods in a region can lead to food shortages and economic stress for local communities. Topography: Topography affects settlement patterns, transportation routes, and the distribution of natural resources. It behaves as a system by influencing factors such as weathering, erosion, and runoff patterns. For example, mountainous terrain can restrict access to certain areas, making transportation difficult and limiting economic development in those regions. Water bodies: Water bodies provide a source of water for drinking, irrigation, and transportation. As a system, they interact with weather patterns and ecosystems to regulate water availability and quality. For example, pollution of rivers and lakes can impact human health by contaminating drinking water sources and harming aquatic ecosystems that support fisheries.
