Germany contributed with planes and tanks. These "supports" were to be notably larger than those given to the Republican Army by France and Soviet Russia, which starting from 1938, had been increasingly diminishing. Therefore the Republicans were overwhelmed and defeated by the superior power of their enemies.

No. The fact that the outcome of one trial does not affect the outcome of any other trial follows from the fact that the trials that are independent. Whether the distribution is binomial or not is totally irrelevant.
