Hock no its not its about gods and godness that is fake
Hera was the ancient Greek goddess of women and marriage. She was also a goddess of the sky and starry heavens. She was also queen of the gods and goddesses.
The gods did not earn their assignments or powers - they just had them from the start.
They preformed rituals to honer their gods and goddesses.
Yes, very much so, as to cross Greek gods was believed to earn the ire of the goddesses and gods who had given that law to mankind.
Both civilizations were polytheistic. They had their own gods who had their own distinct functions and roles as with the pagan religions of Ancient Europe. The Aztecs chief deity was said to be Quetzalcoatl where as the Mayans of the Yucatan called theirs Kukulkan and the Mayans from south of the Yucatan called theirs Gukumatz
The Greeks hoped to earn the favor of their gods and goddesses by performing rituals, sacrifices, and offerings. These acts were believed to please the deities and ensure their protection and blessings.
Yucatan and Chichenitza were the regions where the Maya were located. These lands (a peninsula) had impressive temples and pyramids. The people of these lands believed it would honor the gods by building them.
bloody work for gods sake
Because the ancient Greeks believed they would earn respect and the gods would bring them good fortune.
It depends on what religion your in or looking at to what the answer is.....but most gods are immortal and in some you can earn a life after death
The Greek religion was polytheists, which means that they believed in many gods and godness. They had a god for everything, most people just know about the 12 Olympians gods (Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Hermes, Hera, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Dionisio, Aphrodite, Hephaestus and Demeter), but they had lots of minor gods, they had gods for winds, for sleep, etc. They had so many gods and goddess that they could hardly blame themselves for anything because the gods were everywhere. Their gods were not as the actual gods of the actual religions, the Greek's gods were more human, they had lots of human characteristics as their weakness. Because they were so human, they usually came down to the Earth to have children s with mortals. There is a place in Greece that is called Mount Olympus and over that place there was supposed to be the real mount Olympus where the gods lived.
