How did hernan cortez conquer the Aztecs?

In 1519, Hernando Cortes was able to conquer the Aztecs because he had a large army and was able to capture the Aztec king Montezuma. When Cortes went to Mexico, the Aztec thought that he was the god Quetzalcoatl and welcomed him with honor.

Hernan Cortes conquered the aztecs in many ways. The first way is he made alot of alliances. a woman named Malintzin helped Cortez make more alliances. Those alliances gave Cortez supplies and warriors. The second way is that the spainiards had advanced weapons and armor. The aztecs had also never seen horses in their lives which made them scared. the 3rd way is Cortez took advantage of their geogroaphy and location. He blocked caduseways bridges and water ways and this cut off the water which killed alot of aztecs because of starvation. and the last way is deseases. The spanish brought in small pocks. He defeted them in the battle of Tenochtitlan. The battle started when the Aztecs stoned their king Moctezuma to death, But the Aztecs stated that Cortes stabed him!!!!!!! So the Aztec revolted
