Inuits had a traditional belief in spirits and rebirth. This meant they had great respect for the environment and animals they hunted, taking only what they needed. They were respectful to the dead animals they had killed, so that it would allow itslef to be hunted again in its next life.

These things meant there was preservation of species for food and clothing in the past and today.
