He became king with his power to achieve " AKA IKEGA ", because he was one of the sons of AMA, AMA the first son of IGBO which is today known as AMAIGBO in Nwangele L.G.A Imo state. Knowing that " Opara bukwa Opara", meaning the first son will always remain the first son to fight for his family. He did not allow his enemies to put him off, he showed his greatness and he had a great energy to do the most strong jobs others could not do, then his slave master saw him as one who could protect others and he became King.
